“The Type” generally will not collect your personal data when you browse or use this website and other mobile applications (APP), web pages, or services provided by “The Type” and/or “The Type” group companies (collectively, “this Website and Services”). When you browse or use this Website and Services, “The Type” will only collect your browsing history and IP address, and will not collect your personal data. The collection of browsing history is used to estimate the daily number of visitors browsing or using this Website and Services; the relevant data is only used for statistics on the usage rate of the Website and Services, to provide and improve our services, and to identify you as the owner of your account.

(a) Users are required from time to time to provide relevant data to “The Type” when opening or maintaining a member account, or using services provided by “The Type”, logging in, accessing or using websites, applications, or services provided by “The Type” or other websites, applications, or services that you select, accept, log in to, access, or use through your member account from time to time, or pursuant to legal requirements or guidelines issued by regulatory or other management authorities.

(b) Failure to provide such data to “The Type” may result in “The Type” being unable to open or maintain a member account, provide services, or comply with legal requirements or guidelines issued by regulatory or other management authorities.

(c) “The Type” will also collect user data in the continuation of normal business operations with users, for example, when registering to use individual paid services.

(d) User data may be used for the following purposes:

  1. Daily operations involved in opening or maintaining member accounts and providing services for users;
  2. Processing and following up on service requests, inquiries, refunds, and complaints;
  3. Daily operations or necessary measures involved in processing the purchase of products, services, or enjoying promotional privileges through the use of services (for example, when a user purchases a discount coupon for a restaurant, “The Type” provides the user’s name and contact telephone number to the restaurant to verify the validity of the coupon);
  4. Designing services or related products for users’ use;
  5. For marketing the following services or products (whether or not “The Type” receives remuneration for the marketing):
    1. “The Type” company and related services and products;
    2. Services and products provided by co-branding partners, advertisers, or sponsors of “The Type” (the name of the co-branding partner will be provided when applying for the relevant services and products); the services and products may be provided and/or marketed by the following parties:
    3. “The Type” company;
    4. And co-branding partners, advertisers, or sponsors of “The Type” company;
  6. Determining the amount of indebtedness owed by users to “The Type”;
  7. Disclosures made pursuant to legal requirements binding on “The Type” or any of its branches, or guidelines required to be observed by “The Type” or any of its branches by regulatory or other management authorities;
  8. Facilitating actual or proposed assignees of “The Type”, or participants or sub-participants of “The Type” in the user’s rights to evaluate transactions intended to be assigned, participated in, or sub-participated in; and
  9. Purposes relating to the above.

(e) User data held by “The Type” will be kept confidential, but “The Type” may provide such data to the following parties for the purposes set out in paragraph (d) (whether within or outside Hong Kong):

  1. Any agent, contractor, or third-party service provider providing administrative, telecommunications, computer, data security, payment or clearing, or other services to “The Type” in connection with the operation of its business;
  2. Places permitted and required by law;
  3. Any person under a duty of confidentiality to “The Type”, including companies within the “The Type” group which have undertaken to keep such information confidential;
  4. Fulfilling disclosure obligations to any person under legally binding requirements on “The Type” and any branch, or guidelines required to be observed by “The Type” or any of its branches by regulatory or other management authorities;
  5. Any actual or proposed assignee of “The Type” or participant or sub-participant or transferee of “The Type” in the user’s rights; and
  6. The following persons:
    1. “The Type” company;
    2. Providers, related companies, or individuals of websites, applications, or services that you select, accept, log in to, access, or use through your member account from time to time;
    3. Co-branding partners or sponsors of “The Type” and “The Type” group companies (the name of the partner will be provided when applying for the relevant services and products);
    4. Third-party service providers employed by “The Type” to achieve (d)(iii) above (including but not limited to mailing centres, telecommunications companies, telemarketing and direct marketing agents, call centres, data processing companies, and information technology companies).

Relevant data may be transferred outside China.

(f) You can edit, change, and delete your personal data within your account. Any request for access to or correction of data, or for information regarding policies and practices and kinds of data held, you may make to the above persons at any time.

(g) This notice shall not limit users’ rights under the Privacy Ordinance.
